Background

The Classroom Oversight, Coordination, and Implementation Committee, in conjunction with the Classroom Master Plan Committee, has commissioned two classroom master plans. The first plan was presented in 2005 and the most recent in 2015. The goals of the plans were to::

• Improve overall quality and consistency of general-purpose classrooms
• Develop common classroom types
• Create flexible environments to accommodate different pedagogical methods
• Develop a comprehensive renovation program that incorporates technology upgrades, furnishings and environmental updates
• Coordinate campus capital expenditures on general purpose classrooms
